We begin with the overall score: this little, nice number is useful to give us a general idea of how the two software stacks perform.

While Oracle's JVMs are a little faster on a release-by-release basis, I admit that the overall difference is quite small. OpenJDK 1.6 is the slower, while OracleJRE 1.7 is the faster.
