As you can see, if used with a recent GCC version, the Intel Core2 is way faster than Kal-El on CoreMark benchmark:
The point is that by using GCC 4.4.4 with O3 level optimization the Intel processor is a healthy 44% faster than by using GCC 3.4.6 and O2 level optimization (the version and setting used by NVIDIA).
This means that I consider Kal-El a “low performance” parts or that I'm not impressed by the latest NVIDIA hardware? Absolutely not, as you will find in my final thoughts...
